With most humbless i like to express my feelings, my gratitude towards the close assemble of most vibrant group of Maharashtra & Goa. the idea and concept was formed in 2006- Nagpur- CME on Glioma – with ENT group or Atul Goel was the light House Torch to Guide and a nominal body/or a group was formed with the title “Maharashtra Chapter of Neurological Surgeans” – MCNS – which Converted into “Midwest Chapter of Neurological Surgeans” in Jan 2016 .There were 7 Trustees.

Profile details :
Dr. Jagdhane has done his MBBS at Government Medical College, Nanded. He further pursued MS (General Surgery) and MCh (Neurosurgery) at B J Medical College (Pune) and Kasturba Medical College (Manipal) respectively. In early 2016, he enhanced his skills in advanced spine surgery & deformity correction spine surgery by doing a Fellowship in spine surgery at the University hospital of Wales, Cardiff, UK. Dr. Jagdhane’s passion for teaching paved a career pathway in medical education. He served as an Assistant Professor at Manipal University for a period of one year followed by Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha where he established a Neurosurgery department single handedly for two years, and during this tenure he presented his work of operating 100 brain and spine tumors, which is testimony to his remarkable achievements.
Dr. Jagdhane is actively involved in clinical research. In his pursuit for enhanced knowledge, Dr. Jagdhane keenly participates in conferences, both as a speaker and delegate. He was invited as an honorable guest at Seoul, South Korea as part of NSSA delegation for a prestigious spine meeting. He keeps on honing his skills through the medium of workshops focused on his area of speciality. Dr. Jagdhane started practicing in 2013 and in a short span has gained wide medical experience in the course of his career. His professional track record includes over 1800 Neurosurgical Spinal and Cranial cases executed till date and more than 250 Endovascular Neurosurgery procedure.
Dr. Jagdhane’s areas of interests include Endovascular Neuro intervention, Minimal Invasive Neurosurgery procedures & Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and Complex Spinal Surgery. He is presently serving in one of the finest hospitals in Mumbai, India as a Consultant Neurosurgeon & also Associate Professor Neurosurgery at Dr D Y Patil Medical College and Hospital, New Mumbai.
Dr Nitin Jagdhane has been elected as executive Committee member of Midwest Chapter of Neurological Surgeons, Maharashtra and Goa and is serving a term from 2022-25. He’s currently carrying out the responsibilities of membership coordinator and social media and website manager for the society.
